Our special guest, Mr. Azhar Rizvi is a tech guru, and a visionary. He has received several scholastic distinctions from Pakistan and the United States. His traits are not limited to him being a highly educated individual, but encompass the great impact he has had in the field of information and technology. He has spent nearly two decades immersed in this sector, working with renowned organizations such as AT&T, NCR, and Unisys. Furthermore, he is the Founding Director and on the BOD for the THKS Technology Group (a consortium of three Technology companies with expertise in Software development, BPO, ICT Risk Assurance, Six Sigma, Human Capital Management, and CRM. Moreover, he is also the founding director of the MIT Club Entrepreneurs Forum in Pakistan. Mr. Azhar Rizvi is an embodiment of the true potential that lies in Pakistan’s IT sector due to the amalgamation of his extensive work in the field and his fiery passion. He founded the Tech Angels Network, a local nonprofit organization that helps connect startup companies to the financial help they need, to encourage the potential that lies in the IT sector. Mr Rizvi’s achievements in the social sector cannot go unaccounted for. He is the District Chairman for Technical Education and Vocational Training of Rotary District 3270, in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He also serves as the Founding Vice Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Pakistan, Founding Member of Board of DAISY for All in Pakistan (a world-wide consortium for technology based learning for the blind and visually impaired currently having 5 centers of expertise in Pakistan), Chairperson for the CSR Committee of Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA), Member of the Advisory Council for Rashidabad Memorial, Member of the Board of Advisors for the Ministry of Information Technology (Government of Sindh, Pakistan), and an avid member of the Pakistan Innovation Board. Mr Rizvi is currently working as the CEO and Director of TAN America Fund, the first Angel fund established in the US with the primary objective of investing in the Pakistani IT firms.
