Pakistan Youth Alliance (PYA)
Pakistan Youth Alliance (PYA) In November 2007, a group of young individuals under the leadership of Syed Ali Abbas Zaidi, Samad Khurram and Maryam Kanwar decided that it was time to be the change they wished to see in their country. With this in mind, Pakistan Youth Alliance was formed. Since then PYA has done over 50 events countrywide and abroad and managed to distribute aid to over 5000 families during the Swat IDP crisis along with other social service campaigns. Their main objective is to unite the youth of Pakistan regardless of their ethnicity, religion, caste or language, together in order to help build this country. They have also provided them a platform where they can be socially and politically aware and raise their voices against injustices and to spread the message of enlightenment and hope amongst all. In 2010 with help from Hope Uplift Foundation and Indus Foundation, PYA was able to distribute 44,500 tents and 350 ration packs and medicines in Mirpurkhas, Sindh for Pakistan Flood Relief. More than 750 families were provided with assistance.
