Malala Yousuf Zai is an eighth-grade Pakistani student from the town of Mingora
in Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and is known for being a children's rights activist. At 13 years old she gained notability for championing the cause of the people of Swat by blogging for the BBC under a pseudonym about the atrocities

At the age of 24, she owns a group of companies and is affiliated with different companies locally and internationally as web technology partner, strategic partner, director and associate. A Dublin-based Pakistani youth, Amir Davis is a computer-graduate. He received Ireland Involved Award 2011 and was one of the ten recipients chosen for volunteer work in different fields. 10 Azm Awards to be given at an event in March. Azme Alishan Azm Awards to be aired on television channels on Pakistan Day, 23rd March 2012.
Nominations will be shortlisted by the Azme Alishan team and the respected Jury around February 15th. There will be 20 shortlisted nominations for the year 2012. The short listing of nominees will focus more on unsung heroes of Pakistan, and careful evaluation will be done to the best of abilities to see if their work is authentic and has no religious, political or self-serving motives. However, the nomination process shall be kept open for individuals to nominate through out the year via the Azme Alishan website to collect nominees and celebrate their work and for future Azm Awards.
Voting period starts from February 18th 2012.
The 10 Azm Awards to be given shall be on the basis of a decision ratio (public voting & jury members).
The awards given are to recognize and celebrate the most popular unsung heroes of Pakistan who have contributed positively in the various respective spheres and/or categories for the betterment of Pakistan.
The nominees can be of:
Pakistanis living in Pakistan,
Pakistanis living Internationally,
Non-Pakistanis who have done remarkable work for Pakistan.
The decision of the Jury panel and the Azme Alishan team will be full & final and non-disputable at any level. Azme Alishan reserves the right to cancel, remove or make any other such changes to the nominees or the nomination criteria as per the contingency situation where applicable.
